The development of Industrial Estate in Pulau Baai, Bengkulu City, has an asset in the form of HPL land area of 1,180.42 Ha, only 324,21 Ha have been used for ports and in cooperation with other parties (PLTU, cement packing plant, coal stockpile, fuel terminal, docking and CPO storage tank). The development plan of Industrial Estate is an asset utilization project proposed by the Bengkulu Port Branch to boost the economy and create jobs opportunity in Bengkulu Province. The expected multiplier effect for Pulau Baai Port is in the form of increasing cargo activity. The development of the Industrial Estate provides convenience for business parties and the acceleration of inclusive good’s distribution for industries. The Feasibility Study of the Pulau Baai Industrial Estate was carried out in July 2022.

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Bengkulu or PELINDO was began to built and operated since 1984. PELINDO was established based on Government Regulation PP 101 of 2021 about Merger Pelindo I,III and IV to PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) to be PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or PELINDO on 1st October 2021 and managed allover ports in Indonesia. Furthermore in 2016 the masterplan of the development for Pulau Baai Port was stipulated under the Decree of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number KP 898 of 2016.
